Why are there so many under-18 videos on file-sharing programs?

I just dont get it. Why are there videos of teens online. I don't watch them but do some teenagers like to publish themselves masturbating on the internet? Eg if I can 'shoot' well or if i have a big penis? There can't be so many of them I know that that many are made by paedophiles too but is there a chance that a teenager could publish his 'private moments' online because he/she wants publicity?
PS I am NOT a paedophile. Not do I promote or view those materials. I am under 18 myself.

Here's a suggestion. Trot off down to the local plod, explain your tendencies and turn yourself in.

    teenagers just like to be brash and forward. I don't think some of them realise what it means to put such a video on the internet. It is all a bit of fun to them.
