Press Releases: When Is Too Much TOO MUCH!?

I own a few websites and want to use press releases to drive targeted traffic back to them. I’ve written a few different press releases that I want to send out for distribution, and I’ve heard/read about using PR distribution software that will send the PR’s out to hundreds if not thousands of distribution sites. First, can this hurt your ranking in search engines w/ all of that duplicate content? Like, will they consider it spam? And second, if you do approve of using this type of software what program is the best?

I never open it. Unsolicited email is by definition spam. Regardless of content.

I have not heard of this software all though i do know of companies where you pay to have this done.

I do not think it could harm you because this is information and not spam.

Don’t worry about saturation. You need all the publicity you can get. Then your sites will take care of themselves. Tell the Wall Street Journal about your sites. They always have lists and i visit every one on their list./
